The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in collaboration with the Ministry of External
Affairs and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, launched the
India-Africa Conclave on Partnership in 2005. Since its inception, the Conclave has
evolved into one of the most prominent platforms facilitating dialogue and collaboration
between senior ministers, policymakers, and business leaders from both Africa and India,
spanning a diverse range of sectors. To date, it has hosted over 10,000 African and 8,500
Indian delegates, including more than 500 senior ministers and several heads of state
from Africa.
The upcoming 20th edition of the Conclave will continue to serve as a strategic platform
for advancing Africa’s development agenda and highlighting the role of the India-Africa
partnership in integrating regional and global value chains. In addition to bilateral, trilateral,
and regional engagements, this edition will spotlight key sectors such as Agriculture and
Food Processing, Defence, Digital Partnerships, Financial Services, Healthcare and
Pharmaceuticals, Infrastructure, Power and Energy, Quality Ecosystems, Skill and
Capacity Development, among others.
While continuing to feature business conferences, exhibitions, and B2B meetings, the
20th Conclave will also introduce a new dimension, product launches, showcasing the
AAA approach of Indian businesses to Africa: Affordable, Adaptable, and Appropriate.
